Lacrosse
Lacrosse is a team game played with a rubber ball and sticks, with the sticks having a net on one end, which are used to score goals against the opponent.
The Olympic program includes 6 x 6 lacrosse. In this version, the game is played on a 70 x 36 m field, and the attack time is limited to 30 seconds. From a squad of 12 players, 6 players, including the goalkeeper, are on the field at a time. The match lasts 32 minutes and is divided into 8-minute quarters. The team that scores more goals by the end of the match wins.
Interesting
In lacrosse, touching the ball with your hands is prohibited even for the goalkeeper. To catch the ball, he uses a special stick – larger than the ones used by field players.
