About the Games
In all cross-country skiing events, athletes from Norway emerged as the winners. Out of 12 medals awarded, they conceded only one.
The Canadian ice hockey team defeated Czechoslovakia 30–0 and Switzerland 33–0.
Some Swedish athletes refused to travel to the I Winter Olympic Games because they were not allowed to bring chewing tobacco with them. French law strictly prohibited the import of such products.
