The penultimate round of the RPL, like many other sporting events that took place in Russia over the weekend, was timed to celebrate the 81st anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
The action "Immortal Regiment" took place at the Zenit—Sochi match. The players of both teams took to the field with portraits of war veterans. A symbolic kick to the ball was delivered by Vladimir Mikhailovich Kolosov, a veteran of the Great Patriotic War, a participant in the defense of Leningrad and one of the oldest fans of the blue‑white‑blues.
