Dakar 2026 was born out of a desire to host the Youth Olympic Games in all parts of the world and place the Games at the center of Africa's transformation. Senegal's sports culture has its roots in history. The games are meant to become synonymous with symbiosis, sharing, joy and pride, but also the modesty of young people all over the world, in Africa and Senegal. Sport should be a celebration, a way to live together, a factor of peace, rapprochement and social cohesion.
