On Thursday, a meeting of the Executive Committee was held at the ROC headquarters on Luzhnetskaya Naberezhnaya under the leadership of Minister of Sports and ROC President Michael Degtyarev. A number of important decisions were adopted as a result.
The Executive Committee set the date of the annual Olympic Assembly. This year it will take place on 17 December. At the meeting of the ROC's supreme executive body, an updated membership of the Executive Committee will be approved, including two new representatives, and amendments will be made to the ROC Charter in line with the latest changes to the Olympic Charter.
In addition, the Executive Committee today approved the composition of the Russian Olympic team for the IV Summer Youth Olympic Games in Dakar. It includes 13 athletes: Stepan Bortnik, Angelina Novolodskaya (cycling), Anastasia Dobrovolskaya (judo), Yaroslav Pushkin (equestrian), Serafima Fokina, Bogdan Toropkin (swimming), Maria Ozhigova (skateboarding), Daniil Smirnov, Polina Dmitriyeva (artistic gymnastics), Bashir Adzhiyev, Elina Tkhamakova (taekwondo), Artyom Blyuske (wushu), Ulyana Belykh (fencing). The delegation travelling to Senegal will also include 10 coaches.
The design of the team's kit for the 2026 Youth Olympic Games was also approved. It was developed by Bosco, the single supplier of the Olympic and national teams of Russia, on the basis of the "Golden Heritage" collection presented this year. The uniform is executed in red and white colors with gold decorative elements.
On the basis of decisions of the ROC Awards and Fair Play Commission, it was decided to award the ROC Honorary Badge For Merits in the Development of the Olympic Movement in Russia to three specialists: Yevgeny Klyuchnikov, President of the Ulyanovsk Regional Taekwondo Federation; Nadir Magomedov, Professor of the Department of Physical Education and Sport at Vladimir State University and Honoured Coach of Russia; and Aisen Nikolaev, Head of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and Chairman of the Organising Committee of the VIII Children of Asia Games.
In addition, Michael Degtyarev presented similar awards to Olympic athletics champion Yuriy Borzakovskiy and Valentin Khabirov, Vice-President of the Russian Judo Federation.
