The International Forum of Young Olympians (IFYO) is an annual large-scale event dedicated to International Children’s Day (June 1), bringing together athletes aged 14–18 who represent the regions of Russia as well as National Olympic Committees of foreign countries. The forum is organized by the Olympic Committee of Russia with the support of the Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA).
The history of the IFYO began on June 1, 2018. Since then, it has significantly expanded both its geographical reach and its program, which is designed in line with current trends in Russian and global sport.
Goals and objectives of the IFYO:
- fostering young athletes’ commitment to the true values of the Olympic movement;
- promoting zero tolerance for doping among the younger generation;
- developing international humanitarian cooperation with National Olympic Committees of foreign countries and sports organizations;
- contributing to the development of a competitive reserve for the Russian Olympic team.
